Welcome to Chrysalis Circle!

Holy Mother, in whom we live, move and have our being,
From You all things emerge, and unto You all things return
Open our hearts, this blessed day, touch our bodies and our minds
Walk with us through the gates of power
In shadow and starlight, in fire meeting earth
In the wind on the ocean, and the sweet Kiss of Life
Blessed be our journey

Victor Anderson / T. Thorn Coyle

We held the First Annual Drumming Down The Sun on June 20, 2012

Over 120 members of the pagan community came to this new metro area event. There was some very fine drumming, flutes, spinners, yoga, dancing, laughter, popcorn, pirates, faeries, Green Man, a snake, a guinea pig, well behaved happy children (on the playground equipment), and big smiles. The geese were friendly (and very close if you had food). Even one of the trash cans got played!

The weather had been very hot until that day, when there was about a 15° drop in temperature to something much more pleasant. Many people were very happy about a Summer Solstice drumming event being celebrated on a temperate evening, in comfy clothes. Although the clouds were slightly obscuring the view of the Sun (and later the Moon) setting, it was still a magical night. We were very glad that so many people attended and enjoyed the night with their friends. We enjoyed seeing all of our (new and old) friends and we were glad we could offer an event that was accessible by all members of our community.

Our reasoning behind offering this event was to balance the energies between the light half and the dark half of the Wiccan Year. There is much spiritual work that can be done during both times of year.

See details about the 2013 event here

The question most asked? “Are you going to do it again?”, and answered, “YES!”

What is the main reason to join Chrysalis Circle? I feel the reason should be something like, “If you want what we have, then join us.”

What should Advanced Wicca be about?
An energetic interchange of learning, spirituality, and connection.

We sometimes veer into a very detailed study of small details by saying, “Why do we do this?”. This leads to an amazing discovery of the whys and wherefores of our study. We feel that to just do things because that is the way they are done, is to ignore the deeper meaning of what it is that is being questioned. We do not come into this spirituality without deep thought and self-examination. We want an enriching experience. Why would some detail be by rote? By learning the deeper meaning and reason behind what we do, we connect more closely with
the Divine.

Blessed Be!
